Opel Mobile SIM Service Shutdown 
31st March, 2024

To our valued customers,

It is with regret that we advise you that we will be shutting down our Mobile SIM Service on the 31st of March 2024.

This change has come about due to the current SIM plans no longer being supported by our Service provider Telstra.

So, what does this mean to you?

Any customer with an existing Mobile Service plan through Opel Mobile will need to find an alternative Mobile service provider before the 31st of March 2024.

You can do this by either.

1. Porting your existing Opel Mobile number to a new provider and plan of your choice or
2. You can disconnect your current Mobile number with Opel Mobile and find a new provider of your choice with a new phone number.

We encourage you to do this as soon as possible to avoid any discontinuation of service on your device.

Our Customer Service team will be available to assist you with any questions you may have or to disconnect your service. The Customer Service Team can be contacted on 1300 971 584 (Mon to Fri 8 am to 6 pm AEST)

If you choose to Port your existing number to a new plan and provider of your choice, the new provider can assist you with this change, however again we encourage you to do this as soon as possible before the 31st of March 2024.

What happens if I do nothing?

Your Service will be disconnected at 11.59 pm on the 31st of March 2024. This will result in you not being able to receive or accept any calls/texts or data using your Opel Mobile SIM service. This will also affect being able to keep your number so that you can port it.

Importantly, this change in SIM Service has no impact on any Opel Mobile handsets or devices. All Opel Mobile products are network-unlocked meaning you can port your number or connect to any SIM Service provider in Australia.
